water flow in sandstone. As the water
crystallizes it adheres to stone,
wood &
vegetation
next to it.
They have beautiful lavender & turquoise crystal that sets them apart from other wood opals.
Very Pretty, Popular & Rare
The host stone (sandstone) doesn't usually polish well.

My photos are taken under a 27 watt daylight lamp. That is also how I enjoy looking at my collection.
Opals are best viewed in natural sunlight
but a nice daylight lamp or
LED pen flashlight will bring out the color and fire!
